Peru is a continent in a country: highest mountains in the works behind the Himalayas, Ocean, driest capital in the world behind Cairo, the largest section of the Amazon rain forest, cloud forests, Nazca lines,beautiful Colonial history’, the best food in South America, and Incan ruins. Peru is a wonderful swirl of bright colors, amazing artisans, and beautiful culture. For me painting Peru: is a chance to share, to remember, and to use the brightest colors in my crayon box!
I love the way women in Peru dress, I love that they wear skirts, and handmade wool shawls and sweaters instead of puffy down coats. This woman’s clothes look so colorful against the stone alleyway.
