Plein Air Oil Workshop (New Ulm)

Three days painting at a Texas Ranch near round top, with beautiful Texas landscapes: flowers, hills, horses, and even a day painting at a local vineyard (with wine tasting on the porch when we finish that day). This is Texas country at its best. All levels of experience welcome.

Through demonstration and individual instruction, you will be guided through a process to help you obtain confidence and pleasure from painting outdoors and in the studio. Learn how to capture the changing light through value, color, and composition.

We will paint landscapes and still life from life and also will cover how to use reference photos, thumbnails, and color studies to start and finish paintings. Classes are structured with enough direction to ensure success and enough freedom to allow for creative expression.
