Plein Air Oil Workshop


Come paint plein air in oils on a beautiful North Texas farm, 15 miles east of downtown Dallas. All levels of experience welcome.

Through demonstration and individual instruction you will be guided through a process to help you obtain confidence and pleasure from painting outdoors and in the studio. Learn how to capture the changing light through value, color and composition.

We will paint landscapes and still life from life and also will cover how to use reference photos, thumbnails, and color studies to start and finish paintings. Classes are structured with enough direction to ensure success and enough freedom to allow for creative expression.

Where: Sunnyvale Texas

Sunnyvale is about 15 miles east of Dallas. There is plenty of lodging nearby, including a LaQuinta about 1.5 miles away that has an indoor pool.
