When the Road Becomes Prayer is a collection of original paintings and reflections inspired by my family’s pilgrimage across Spain.

While walking with my husband and four children from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, France, to Santiago de Compostela and onward to Cabo Finisterre, Spain, I discovered the Camino is more than a road to a destination.

It is a teacher.

Through stories and paintings of heavy packs and worn feet on open roads, family struggles and rain-soaked days, shared meals and unexpected acts of kindness, this collection explores the quiet lessons of pilgrimage: humility, hospitality, forgiveness, endurance, gratitude, and grace.

Along the way, I learned that pilgrimage is not only about the road forward. It is also about loosening our grip, accepting care, making room for others, and recognizing the sacred in ordinary life.
